Try playing a combined game instead of focusing on getting wonders and great works/artifacts. Not my answer but I could give you advice for a cultural victory. And when I do, it's often a lot more work for me. If I do, I have to start out planning it (whereas with the other methods I can decide at a later time). As I result I rarely ever go for cultural. The tech schedule is completely different, the wonder route is different, the social policy selection is different, the build order is different, and the actual requirements take a lot more work than the other victory, as far as I can tell. It calls for a complete shift in approach to the game. My real struggle is going into cultural victory. And by that point, I'm often in position to merely win via diplomatic and sometimes even science first. Often, domination isn't so much difficult as it is tedious, unless I wait for a bomber rush. I also tend to rush the Forbidden Palace, and tend to have the spare resources to bribe world religion and ideology votes my way. As a result, my tech and money (city state alliances) tend to both go high every game. I tend to focus on building tall cities full of science and gold production. Science and diplomatic both come easily and naturally to me.

The question is which victory do you find most difficult, and why? Possible reasons could be challenge of the task itself, difference to your usual play style, enjoyment/unenjoyment, etc.įor me, it's the culture victory. If you've answered before, feel free to answer again though! This has probably been asked before, but it's meant to be discussion based and the people who come to the sub changes regularly, so it should be a new set of responses.
